The Max 620S is the only machine in HAHA’s lineup with a full-height video display. Capacity is identical to the standard Max 620 — roughly 420 beverages, 593 litres. What you are buying is the screen, and one consequence of it that catches people out.

Check your ceiling first

85.8 inches is 7 feet 1.8 inches. That is 6.3 inches taller than the standard Max 620 and the tallest machine HAHA builds.

Most commercial spaces handle it without issue. The ones that do not are the ones you would not think to check: basement breakrooms, converted spaces, buildings with dropped ceilings, anywhere with a soffit, a bulkhead, ductwork or a sprinkler head over the intended spot. Also check the path in, not just the destination — a doorway with a low header will stop the machine before the room does.

Measure floor to the lowest obstruction over the placement, and leave clearance above for airflow. If you are anywhere near seven feet, this is a phone call to the site before you order, not after.

What the screen is actually for

Three uses, in rough order of how often they pay off.

Promoting what is in the machine. The most reliable use. New product, a price promotion, a combination deal. You are advertising to someone already standing in front of the machine deciding what to buy, which is the shortest distance between an ad and a sale that exists.

Promoting your own business. If you are an operator with a route, the screen is a recruitment tool for more placements — every person who walks past a site you already serve sees who runs it. For a business that grows by word of mouth in a region, that is not nothing.

Selling advertising space. Possible, and the most commonly pitched reason to buy a display unit. Be realistic about it. Selling ad inventory means finding advertisers, agreeing terms, producing creative and managing scheduling — it is a second business, not a passive add-on. Some operators make it work. Most who buy the screen expecting ad revenue end up using it for the first two purposes instead.

We would suggest buying the 620S because you want the first two, and treating any advertising revenue as upside rather than the justification.

Same footprint, same capacity, same platform. The 620S is 6.3 inches taller and about 52 pounds heavier. Everything else about the buying decision is identical, so the question is simply whether the screen earns its place at your site.

If it does not, the standard Max 620 is the lighter and easier machine.

Where a display unit makes most sense

High-footfall placements where people queue or wait — hotel lobbies, apartment communities, large gyms, student housing, busy manufacturing breakrooms. Anywhere the machine is seen by many more people than buy from it, the screen has an audience.

At a small office where the same twelve people walk past it every day, the screen will not do much.

The platform

Identical to every other HAHA model: AI product recognition, cashless and contactless payment, cloud management, restock alerts on volume or inventory threshold, remote control of temperature and volume, staff roles, and sales reporting by product or machine.
